The need is so great.

Loss is everywhere. Hearts are broken. Lives are shattered.

People are hurting and frightened. The grief in the world is increasing by the moment.

You've been there. You know about loss. You've been wounded. You are healing and growing.

You've decided to use your pain as fuel to serve others. You want to make a difference in this broken world.

You're walking alongside others who are grieving and looking for comfort, strength, and hope. You pour yourself out for those around you.

But who cares for you?

Grief Helpers is a community of caring people who serve those who are hurting and grieving.

Here we learn new insights and skills to better care for ourselves and to more effectively care for others.

This is a safe place where we can comfort, encourage, and support one another.

Hi. My name is Gary.

I come from a background riddled with loss. The pain and challenges were tremendous. This ultimately led me into an adult life of helping others heal and grow.

A former missionary and pastor, I now serve as an author, speaker, grief specialist, and Bible teacher.

As a pastor, I quickly discovered how demanding, challenging, and lonely helping others in pain can be. I found myself thinking, "Who pastors the pastor?"

We all have wounds and struggles. The waves of challenge, hardship, and difficulty are relentless. Those of us serving others often find ourselves running on a near empty tank.

That's why I started Grief Helpers: A Healing Community.

Where I'm Coming From

I am a follower of Jesus Christ. He is my life. My relationship with Him naturally flows over into everything I say and do.

As a result, all my training and instruction will ultimately be based on the Bible and Biblical principles.

Having said that, you do not have to be a follower of Jesus to benefit from being a part of Grief Helpers. The content I share in training and presentations will be applicable to everyone.

If you have questions, please ask! There are no dumb questions here.
